Glacier Walking on Jostedalsbreen, close to the Sognefjord!
We are offering glacier walking on Tunsbergdalsbreen, a part of the famous Jostedal glacier, and the longest glacier arm in Norway.
We travel by boat up the glacier lake. On both sides of the lake steep mountain sides rising up, and melting water from the snow clad mountain peaks are falling down in high waterfalls.
The path from the lake up to the glacier goes in easy terrain close to the wild glacier river. After a short rest next to our tent, we cross the border into the Jostedal Glacier National Park.
We have crampons, ice axe, lifebelt and rope as equipment for everybody on the ice. We are walking alongside deep crevasses and under tall icetowers while we are exploring the blue ice world for about 1,5 hours.
Back in the tent it is time to have lunch. We make some coffee, and take some time to enjoy the nature, before we return to the boat.
